Vibrant Autumnal Flowers at The Bell in Ticehurst

Today I am sharing with you the utterly gorgeous wedding of Gemma & Nick with vibrant autumnal flowers at the Bell in Ticehurst. One of my most favourite venues, I have had the pleasure of working at The Bell in Ticehurst before when we created the flowers for the Deco Disco collaborative photo shoot a couple of years ago. I just adore all it’s quirky details (the neon wall sign in the stable is a particular favourite) whilst still offering a relaxed and intimate atmosphere at the same time, I can totally see why Nick & Gemma chose it for their special day. As their wedding was in September they wanted the flowers to very much reflect the season with autumnal flowers in vibrant shades. When we met for our initial meeting Gemma mentioned that she was really keen to include red poppies, however after examining the image Gemma had found online the flower was in fact a red Anemone and not a poppy a mistake that is easily made as they can look quite similar. I was so happy too when we managed to get our hands on some for her (with it being early in the season for them in September there was a chance that they may not have been available). Gemma’s bridal bouquet was made up of an array of flowery ingredients which included; David Austin garden roses, Piano roses, chamomile, astilbe, cosmos, crocosmia, craspedia, dahlias, asclepias, ammi and hypericum berries.

I love the long hanging ribbon (hopefully that is a current trend that is here to stay) with the red and gold to compliment the bridesmaids dresses paired with the contrasting pink, gorgeous! Gemma’s beautiful tea length dress with lace detailing at the top and pretty diamante belt was purchased from Fur Coat and No Knickers and on her feet she wore Vivienne Westwood Melissa Shoes with red heart detail.

An eclectic mix of beer bottles and glass bottles which had been sprayed silver were dotted around the room made up of natural meadow style flowers in bright popping colours of red, pink, orange, yellow and burgundy which just worked so perfectly with the interiors of the venue. Gemma & Nick also added wedding logo stickers to the bottles which was a lovely personal touch.

How awesome is this confetti shot captured by Dale Weeks Photography one word epic! How’s that for capturing a moment that looks like it pretty much sums up Gemma & Nick’s day, pure happiness and joy.

Thank you to lovely Gemma & Nick for letting us share their special day and to Dale Weeks Photography for the images.

Anyone else getting married at The Bell in Ticehurst?
