Did you have a good Christmas? Mine involved ample amounts of food being consumed (I feel as though I have eaten my body weight in Turkey!) and fun family time spent playing games, the perfect Christmas. I think at this time of year we all feel rather reflective, with New Year approaching you naturally find yourself looking back over the year and contemplating, was it a good one? It’s been a wonderful year for myself both personally and professionally and it feels only right to end it with the best of 2014 (without meaning for the title of this post to sound like an advert for a Now that’s what I call music CD!).
I’m not suggesting that this year hasn’t had its challenges though as believe me it has, probably the biggest one being the car accident I had back in March but I shan’t be dwelling on that. This year overall has had so many amazing moments, on a personal note I was lucky enough to go away on an epic California road trip where me & Steve traveled from San Diego to LA, Santa Barbara, Monterey and our last stop which was San Francisco. As if that wasn’t exciting enough itself we got engaged!! For those of you who don’t already know the story Steve took me by complete surprise when he popped the question whilst we were in San Francisco. How he kept his cool and didn’t let anything slip for nearly two weeks I don’t know but I couldn’t be happier! So lots of wedding planning for 2015.
Professionally, it has been Joanne Truby Floral Design’s busiest year yet with weddings & my have we relished working on every single one of them! We also launched our shiny new re-brand back in the summer revealing our logo (which I still fall in love with every time I look at) and new website. Both have received soooo many lovely compliments which reassured me I had definitely made the right decision re-branding. 2014 also included some fab photoshoots, along with blog and press features and other recent projects included our first shop window installation and flowers for a private event in someones home. 2014 you have kept us busy & it has been epic, and this is just snippet of it…
I’m now ready to take on 2015, it’s going to be another thrilling year with more gorgeous weddings already booked. One of my best friends is getting married & not only do I have the pleasure of doing her flowers but I’m also going to be a bridesmaid! I have big plans for Joanne Truby Floral Design and we are working on other new projects which I shall be revealing more about later on in the year. You will be hearing more about our flowers for the home service, with plans to expand on our portfolio and as part of this on the blog we will be introducing a whole new home and lifestyle category too with regular features. 2015 will of course involve lots of planning for our own wedding too, eeek! I shall keep you posted on our progress.
I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year, thank you for all your support during 2014 it means so much, health and happiness to all. Never stop striving for your dreams <3
