We were recently asked to create boho whites for the new Blackburn Bridal look book. We designed a bouquet and head piece to accompany the utterly gorgeous separates designed by Russell, owner of our favourite bridal boutique, Blackburn Bridal. With a classic white palette we opted for oodles of gorgeous textures to create that wild and natural boho feel. Incorporating thistles, sanguisorba, cow parsley, sweet peas, nigella, grasses and mixed foliages and as always photographer Claire Graham captured the most beautiful images of the shoot.
The shoot took place at photographic producer and interior designer Hannah Gooch’s utterly swoon worthy home. I had serious house envy! If you check out her Instagram feed you will see what I mean, absolutely STUNNING!
There’s something so earth real and fresh about whites & greens paired together, don’t you think? For the head piece we wanted it to compliment with the overall look and details of the bouquet and incorporated an array of the same ingredients which included thistle, veronica, scabious, spray roses and achillea paired with grasses and mixed foliage of eucalyptus (the Nicholli variety) lavender foliage (which I just can’t stop smelling when I use it as lavender is my all time favourite scent) and soft ruskus.
If your currently looking for your bridal gown and would like to see more of Russell’s gorgeous designs in the flesh, why not book an appointment at Blackburn bridal? Him and the rest of the team are super friendly and very knowledgably so you would be in good hands!
I can’t wait to see the new look book once it comes out in print. If you would like to have a chat with us about floral styling for your next editorial shoot, get in touch: hello@joannetruby.co.uk
