Spring Blooms for a beautiful wedding at the queens house

In today’s post I am sharing with you some of my tips on how to start your own wedding and event floristry business. Starting with the first fundemental question you need to ask yourself.

How has it been nearly two years since Liv & Joe’s stunning wedding?! Spring blooms for a beautiful wedding at the Queens House. Liv looked every bit like a fairy princess in her gorgeous blush tulle dress by Naeem Khan that she found in the The Wedding Club boutique.

Bridal Bouquet Blooms

Liv’s bridal bouquet was full of Spring ingredients with Peonies, Aquilegia, Mascari, Scabious, Ammi and Sweet peas. Her favourite flower is Ranunculus and May is usally right at the end of the season for them. Although I did manage to source a few stems for her bridal bouquet so was really chuffed.

Colour palette

The colour palette was perfect for their Spring wedding, it reflects the season perfectly. The soft pastel tones complimented not only Liv’s dress but the Ivory Ghost bridesmaids dresses too and Joe’s Oliver Spencer suit. Adding pops of colour against the neutral tones. Can we also take a moment to appreciate Liv’s matching Jimmy Choo Pearl bag and shoes! If you are a big pearl fan like myself then I’m sure you are also swooning over them too.

The Venue

Based in the heart of historial Greenwich (one of my favourite local spots) The Queens House is part of the Royal Museums Greenwich provided the most stunning backdrop for their special day with picturesque photo opportunities around every corner! I always marvel at the intricate gold painted ceiling design in the Great Hall by Richard Wright every time I visit. Then there’s the statement geometric floor tiles too, adding further to the spectacularness of the room.

Other Details

The photos by the insanley talented duo The Curries, just make my heart sing! Liv is so photogenic and looks every bit like a Hollywood starlet especially in this one below. Definately one that deserves to be pride of place on the gallery wall at home!

Liv arrived at the venue in a funky vintage Citreon 2CV which had special sentimental memories. Her Dad having the exact same car when she was a little girl. The order of the day was an awesome newpaper design featuring a ‘meet the parent’s’ section and crosswords! Inspired by the Newspaper Club. Talented Angela from Italian Eye Events and Sam over saw all the styling and made sure everything came together on the day.

I really hope you have enjoyed Liv and Joe’s gorgeous wedding with all the Spring blooms. It was such a pleasure to be part of their special day. Looking for more Spring bloom inspiration? Check out this blog post.

I hope you have a lovely restful Easter break
