It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… well it is at Blackburn Bridal Couture that’s for sure! Last week we had the pleasure of creating a winter wonderland installation for their boutique window. As you probably will already know we are big fans of the gorgeous boutique (we created their Christmas window display last year too) if you’re a bride to be who hasn’t yet bought her dress you must pay them a visit! They stock the most swoon worthy gowns from the industries most sought after wedding dress designers. Russell the boutique owner and his team of girls seriously know their stuff when it comes to choosing the right gown too.
Inspired by the idea of creating a winter wonderland we adored designing this installation for their window. The aim was to create a display that was Christmassy (obviously) but would still be in keeping with the luxurious and elegant tone and style of the boutique. The talented Caire Graham has captured all the different textures of the design so beautifully to which consisted of dramatic whimsical arrangements in silver urns placed on plinths in each of the windows.
We chose a mix of white glitter and snowy branches placed in gorgeous silver urns, mixed with eucalyptus to add a subtle hint of pale sage green, genista which has a lovely smell and it’s delicate flower heads reminds me of snow with white asparagus fern (a little on the pricey side but so worth the money!) which we’re a tad obsessed with it here at Joanne Truby Floral Design!
Around the bottom of the urn we created a ring of flowers which was made up of an array of textures including scenecio, eucalyptus, mistletoe, eucalyptus pods, genista, pine cones and fern sprayed white and rose gold which was also placed cascading down the front of the plinth.
Huge thanks to the wonderful Claire Graham for capturing these stunning shots (might I add it’s a good job she did too as my iphone images were not worthy of sharing!). Look out for the installation if you’re driving through Blackheath between now & Christmas.
