Show Time at Bluewater Wedding Fair

I know, I know it has been a couple of weeks since I last blogged! I am rather annoyed with myself as I set a target to blog once a week and had been doing very well with sticking to it for the last couple of months, up until now. However things here have been rather hectic over the last couple of weeks and so blogging took a bit of a back seat unfortunately but not today as I am back in full swing and wanted to share with you some images of our stand at the recent Bluewater Wedding Fair. We exhibited upstairs in the Creative Brides Vintage Village and as always Clair done a fab job of looking after us all & it was a fab weekend. Not only did I get to meet lots of lovely couples but the other great thing about exhibiting is that creatively I have complete free rein to design! Although I am very lucky anyway as my couples always have such wonderful ideas and themes for me to sink my teeth into. I guess at the fair the only difference is I get to create my own brief! For our stand this time I wanted it to have a rustic glam feel, recently I have been in love with New England style interiors and decided to draw on this as inspiration when creating our design for the stand.

I used a white washed room divider/shutter as a backdrop for the stand & created an all foliage garland made up of eucalyptus, with hints of green bell and limonium which hung from the top. Then flowers hung from it in glass test tubes, this could be used as a beautiful alter backdrop for your ceremony or even adapted as your table plan with with table names hung from it on labels?

For the colour pallet I went for whites with anenomes, veronica, o’hara roses, phlox, dusky pink roses and pink tinged hellebores, pale blue mascari, hints of lilac with clematis and stocks, cream roses & hints of a deeper/royal blue with the delphiniums.

Very chuffed with all the lovely comments we received over the weekend, I must say thank you to the lovely Jenny from Bellaboo and Beau for lending me her white easel to display our canvas logo sign on & it was white too which worked so perfectly! Thank you to Clair too from creative brides for lugging it to the fair for me, very much appreciated. I also had my wonderful helpers that gave their time at the weekend to come and work on my stand. On the Saturday my sister who done such a marvelous job of speaking about the business, explaining what we do (probably better then myself if I am honest!) Sunday my dear mum came along and helped and of course my Steve was around both days to give me a hand. I was most impressed too when I went to get some lunch on the Sunday and left him to man the stand, when I came back he had one of our enquiry forms completed!

Do you like our stand? If you visited the fair I hope you found it helpful with your wedding plans, I would love to hear your experience of your day there, you would go again?
