June, a Snippet of our Flower Filled Month

How’s your week going so far? We had a particularly challenging week here at HQ for a number of reasons which has reminded me that we are all only human trying our best to learn and progress from our experiences. This week although still mega busy with consultations & design briefs I’m taking a bit of step back to reflect, take stock and gain back some of my mojo which has been missing. I have also started a happy book & I urge you to do one too! What an earth is a happy book I hear you say? Well it’s basically a book which I have been writing in all the amazing things that have happened for Joanne Truby Floral Design along with the wonderful comments we have received from our couples and other lovely people who follow our work on social media. It’s for on those dark days (which inevitably come with running your own business) where things seem a bit bleak & you question what it is your doing, do you know the ones I mean? The days when you just want to hide underneath your duvet cover all day. You look in your book & it gives you an instant reminder that you’re doing a blooming good job & that every once in a while to remember to give yourself a pat on the back! As the saying goes ‘Some days you just have to create your own sunshine’ and that’s exactly what I have decided to do with today’s post! We’re taking a look back over our crazy busy but oh so fantastic June there were oodles of gorgeous weddings, press coverage & flowers for an event! June, you rocked, he’s just a snippet of our flower filled month….

We were super chuffed to see our fleurs in the Note Book section of the July/August issue of Wedding Flowers & Accessories Magazine which out in the shops now to buy & full of lots of gorgeous inspiration.

Our bride Helen holding her bouquet, looking utterly gorgeous with her bridesmaids.

Helen’s centre pieces were made up of these rustic crates

Their pretty heart on the registrar table in the Orangery

Gabriella’s bridal bouquet which I have to admit is one of my favourites from this year so far made up of dahias, clematis, piano roses, astilbe, craspedia, flowering mint, cow parsley with British grown scabiosa, sweet peas and limonium.

I adore this image by Rebecca Douglas Photography, how gorgeous does bride Gabriella look in her boho style dress & groom Iain in his grey suit with mint green bow tie? They both look effortlessly cool.

A little sneaky snippet of the designs we created for an event a couple of weeks back. I absolutely adored creating these & I am loving the colour combination too, which even received a seal of approval from the renowned Rebel Rebel ladies at the flower market who were admiring my flower combination. For those of you who don’t know of Rebel Rebel (my florist friends will of course) they are a totally awesome floral design company based in East London so you can imagine I was rather chuffed with their lovely comments.

The designs in situ at The Sky Loft in London, the design was made up of a tree slice & moss platforms which we created to add varying heights. We used our gold ridged vases (one of my best buys recently) and sprayed the smaller jars copper & gold to tie in with the theme & style the succulents added that final finishing touch.I have been told by the events co-ordinator that they went down a storm, can’t wait to receive the professional pictures.

I’m looking forward to July & all the exciting weddings we have coming up, really hope you will follow us on our flower filled adventures.
