Christmas Decor Ideas

Hello lovelies,

I can’t believe that Christmas is just a few weeks away (I still have so much shopping to do, think I might have to squeeze in a few late night trips!). We have been busy bees in the workshop over the last week creating lots of festive prettiness and at the weekend we are going to choose our tree, I have to have a real one, I adore the smell of fresh pine! I am feeling rather festive which has got me thinking about how I might dress my table this year? So many gorgeous Christmas trends it’s going to be hard to decide! I wanted to share a selection of Christmas decor ideas that will be hopefully get you festively inspired.

Woodland Neutrals

This style is very much about neutral colours mixed with rustic wood and burlap. With hints of woodland incorporated with sprigs of rosemary and pine cones. Perfect if your not a big fan of sparkle and are keen to have a fresh modern take for your christmas decor.

For your Christmas table, if you already have a rustic style wooden table then you’re already winning. However if you don’t fear not, add a plain white table cloth with burlap runner. Jam jar candles wrapped with birch wood & tied with parcel string could be used as your festive decor along with scattered pine & sprigs of rosemary tied to napkins. Remember though that less is more as part of the charm of woodland neutrals is that it has a minimalist feel.

Bold Retro

Lover of colour & all things nostalgic? Then Bold Retro decor is for you, a mixed colour combination of gem stone like tones in fushia pink, midnight blue, emerald green, orange and reds.Quirky vintage style decorations with baubles that look like they have come straight off a Christmas tree from the 70’s.

For your table a vintage inspired floral table cloth or for more of a kitsch feel a bold knitted table runner. Ceramic plates and cups in a mixture of bright colours will compliment this style perfectly, don’t be afraid of a little colour clashing either.

Frosted Shimmer

Frosted shimmer has a more traditional take on Christmas decor, an enchanting mixture of sparkle and dreamy snowy like tones. This style is definitely for all you magpies who have a soft spot for shiny things. Frosted and silver glitter pine cones, silver mercury candle sticks, baubles and feathers.

For the table a crisp white table cloth with silver charger plates, silver cutlery & gorgeous cut glass, wine glasses. Silver mercury candle sticks with glitter pine cones. Place stems of white gyp in cut glass & silver votive’s scattered on the table for a dreamy snow like effect.

What are your favourite Christmas decor ideas? I love all three styles, it’s so hard to choose although I am a sucker for a bit of sparkle especially at this time of the year. I will most probably be out shopping for silver charger plates at the weekend!
