Introduction to Floristry Masterclass

Have you been contemplating a career change into Floristry for a little while but not really sure where to begin? Maybe you would like to gain a little more experience and knowledge before deciding if this is something you want to pursue further? Then my introduction to floristry class could be just what you’re looking for! Its a full 1 day class that takes place at the stunning Barn at Laddingford (Maidstone Kent) which offers the perfect backdrop for inspiration and creativity.

The class will start by covering all the key essentials of floristry; from conditioning your flowers to discussing different colour combinations, finding your floral style and selecting the best blooms working with the seasons. Including where to source your flowers from.

During our introudction to floristry class you will create your own handtied bouquet and a larger scale foam free vessel arrangement . After lunch we will then come together as a group to create a larger scale foam free installation in the grounds of the gardens (weather permitting) using an abundance of seasonal ingredients to create our whimsical design. For each of the designs created we will also be covering mechanics and design principles too.

Now in my twelfth year of running my own business, throughout the day I will give you tips and advice on starting yours. I will also capture images of your work on my camera and phone which I will  to you after the class for you to use as you wish.

All the materials needed along with a light lunch. You of course get to take your bouquet and vessel arrangement home with you. I will also send you an informative PDF that covers all the key elements of the day as well.

As I would like this to be a relaxed intimate class and for each person to have my focus and attention this class is for 6 attendees.

Those with little or no experience but thinking of changing to a career in floristry.

Classes are non refundable however if unable to attend due to sickness or other valid reason payment can be moved across to another one of our classes you would like to attend where we have availability.
