Back in October, I met the lovely Heather for an Autumn compote and bridal bouquet workshop. We had the most wonderful day together. We started off with a cup of tea & biscuits (quite rightly so!) and chatted about our love of flowers. Heather, has set up her floral design business; Lily and Bray Floristry along side her day job as a radiographer, following some previous flower classes she had attended. During our one to one she was keen to learn a more natural and organic style to arranging ... View the Post
Festive DIY Glitter Vase Tutorial
I'm now feeling suitably festive after our recent trip to Iceland (as most of you who follow us on social media will already know we were there celebrating Steve's 30th Birthday). If you haven't been before you MUST go, it is the most incredible place and just so different from any other country I have been to before (I shared a few snaps on facebook yesterday if you wanted to have a peek) staying in a remote cabin certainly got me feeling all cosy and festive and I shall be blogging about it ... Festive Table Inspiration
Before starting with today's post I just wanted to say thank you to those of you who have reached out to me since reading my last blog post, I was really touched by your lovely comments. I'm pleased that it comforted people to know that you are not alone and often we are in the same boat facing similar challenges. Anyway on with today's festive table inspiration post. As the John Lewis advert was aired for the first time last week (I LOVE it, but how about you? Prefer it to last years one? ... View the Post
Hello Autumn…
There has been a definite shift in the air over the last couple of weeks, it's got cooler and the nights are definitely drawing in sooner. I am very much embracing the change in season. Autumn, is quite possibly one of my favourite times of the year for many different reasons. One being that I'm an October baby so get to celebrate my birthday (although getting older doesn't feel me with the same joy quite so much). Besides from that though for me Autumn it is such an inspiring time of ... View the Post
Summer Bouquet Master Class
Yay for this beautiful weather we're having this week (I hope it is here to stay!). I'm excited to share with you today these stunning images captured by Amanda Karen Photography from our summer bouquet master class which was held at the Trafalgar in Greenwich. As most of you know, teaching has been on my radar for a while but I had been hanging back a bit, a bit dubious as to if it would be something I would be any good at! Then I was given the opportunity to teach a one on one class back ... View the Post

Something non wedding related on the blog today but a subject I hope you may find useful. Now I know I am bias but my living room doesn't feel complete until I have a pretty jug of flowers nestled on my dinning room table, they really do just add so much to your home & decor plus if you have scented blooms they also smell gorgeous! When you flick through the pages of those gorgeous glossy interior magazines (were currently decorating our bedroom and so I have a slight obsession with them ... View the Post
Behind the Scenes at Joanne Truby Floral Design
Back in January we collaborated with photography genius Rebecca Douglas on a documentary style shoot based on a 'Day in the Life' of a florist taking a look behind the scenes at Joanne Truby Floral Design and giving a peek into what goes on in our flowery world! Working with flowers can be stressful very stressful believe me & at the moment being in the thick of wedding season I am already feeling wary and tired. When I have a wedding or event on my day normally starts at ... View the Post

Today, whilst were on the subject of Christmas and all things wintry I wanted to share with you our winter flower guide, showcasing what flowery delights are in season at this time of year. Personal Post, Another Year Older
Last Friday I turned 31, gosh it sounds so old, so grown up! I can't quite believe it was a year ago since I wrote this blog post about turning 30. Another year older and with a bit more time on my hands to contemplate (things have calmed down a lot since finishing up with this years peak wedding season) I have been feeling rather reflective & felt compelled to write a post. A little self indulgent and I am not totally sure what my main aim of this post is if being totally honest. I ... View the Post
Summer Flower Guide
Yay it's June, can we now say it's officially summer? (Looking at today's miserable weather, perhaps not) however the summer season has definitely started in terms of flowers. As we wave goodbye to the ranunculus (which I found very hard to do) we say hello to an array of beauties that come with the summer months, some of them I thought I would share with you today in my summer flower guide. Aquilegia, such a pretty delicate looking flower which I only came across very recently ... View the Post
