Joanne Truby is a floral design house that specialise in floral design and styling for weddings and events. Based in Bromley Kent, on the borders of South East London we cover; Kent, Surrey, parts of Sussex, Essex and Central London and are also about to travel further afield too. We have a fun and more personal approach to all our briefs, taking the time to find out more about our couples and clients and how they envisage their wedding or event to create a cohesive design plan. With a ‘thinking outside the box’ attitude when it comes to working with flowers. For us it’s all about the design and details making sure those perfect finishing touches are incorporated to tie in with your overall look and feel seamlessly. From picking the perfect shade rose, sourcing specific props and containers to on the day styling, building bespoke frames and backdrops or hanging installations each of our briefs is approached in an innovative way.
Our style is natural and organic yet abundant with a romantic feel. We adore mixing different colours and textures to create stunning floral combinations. With an ethos for creating wow floral concepts, inspired by many different elements; art, interiors, travel along with nature itself and the seasons.
We personally go and source all our blooms from New Covent Garden Flower Market (the biggest and best flower wholesaler in the UK). As you can’t beat the quality and the vast array of different varieties available!
We like to see the flowers in person and make sure all the colours are on point with the particular brief we are working on and to allow us the flexibility to source other varieties that may catch our eye on the morning that we think would work perfectly.
We also like to do our bit to support British flowers where we can & during the summer months will use a mix of different British blooms, some of which are sourced from our trusted supplier in Cornwall, along with scented garden roses grown in Hampshire.
It’s important for us to understand our couples and client’s personalities to allow us to create a design brief that is personal to them. We like to have an initial consultation (either over on the phone or in person depending on location) where we find out more about our couple’s and clients plans & how they envisage their wedding or event. From here we then create your detailed design brief, including your mood board and quote. We can also carry out venue recces (when necessary) to scout out the interiors & decide what designs would work best in the space. Gathering all the detailed information taking any necessary measurements and photos for the perfect design concepts.
